Why do they call him ‘Speedy’? Well, many know this on-air talent for his quick wit, infectious laugh, superior ‘down home’ intellect... and of course for his ability to speak perfect ‘Spanglish.’ Speedy, the self proclaimed, “Puerto Rican Papi Chulo” of the airways, was born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and still resides there today.

In 1987, Speedy began his radio career at Kingsborough Community College's B91 as an overnight Disc Jockey.  Since discovered he's worked with the nation's top radio stations such as New York's Hot 97 and LA's  Power 106,  WKTU and now on The Luis Jimenez Show.

“When the opportunity came to work with a Legend like Luis, there was no hesitation time, I screamed out WEPA instantly”.  Mind you, he screams that for everything, but in Speedy language that meant YES!

Speedy does not only touch people through his career but is also involved in many charities, including The Cooley Anemia Foundation but kids are what are dear to Speedy.  Speedy has worked with Autistic and under-privileged children for many years.   A holiday season does not come around without Speedy’s annual rendition of Santa Claus to entertain children at area hospitals and shelters.

In his spare time he enjoys playing softball and coaching little league.

‘My main goal,’ says Speedy, ‘is to continue to grow in the business and make as many people smile everyday.’ He feels working for The Luis Jimenez Show is a great way to fulfill his dream.
