DJ Chucky is a name that rings many bells…literally. His music wakes up millions of people every morning. Born in the Dominican Republic province of Santiago, he learned music in a Christian church and developed multiple skills as he got involved in the music ministry. His musical abilities were evident to everyone in his town. Little did he know that those bursts of creativity would land him in a very unique position in the future. His creative spirit continued to look for original ways to express itself, that’s how he started doing remixes for artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Luis Fonsi, and Shakira. At that time he’d launched his career as a dj in the New York club scene, playing at different night clubs sometimes up to seven days a week. His hard work and thirst for success gave him the idea to create a remix of one song made popular in a legendary morning radio show hosted by Luis Jimenez that's when DJ CHUCKY received a special invitation to join them in their studio during their show broadcast on Christmas Day. He joined the cast of immediately and began producing all song parodies, original songs for the show, mixes, etc. Furthermore, he has shown a great musical sensibility and an amazing resilience to respond effectively to the needs of the show when required by the main host. A commonly found example of his skills takes place many times during every show, when the main host requires an on-demand melody (appropriately performed) so he can ad-lib songs inspired by the day’s topic or perhaps stemming from a listener’s comments or whatever situation that might be taking place at the moment. Once he demonstrated his abilities and his potential became more apparent, DJ CHUCKY was named Musical Producer for the show. This brought him the opportunity to work with artists like the most revered band in Latin Rock “Grupo Mana”, and others like Mexican hearthrob Luis Miguel, Puertorican superstar Chayanne, the latin diva Paulina Rubio, Grupo Aventura, and Juanes among others. DJ CHUCKY is solely responsible for introducing the concept of doing Latin Urban remixes for artists such as the above-mentioned. However, his pioneering instinct always pushed for more. The creative abilities of this artist have allowed him to take music production to new heights by incorporating fresh sounds to Reggaeton music and using various rhythms to concoct a new sound in Urban music as a whole. One of his most notable contributions was the making of the score for the film “El Vacilon: The Movie” in its entirety. A second movie score for the film “A Wonderful Christmas (Feliz Navidad)” released by Lions Gate Films and several other Hollywood projects are also in the works. DJ CHUCKY’s music has reached wrestling fans all over America since he created the theme song for the WWE wrestler known as “Carlito”. This wrestler enters the spotlight as his signature song "Quien Soy Yo" is played. Included in the WWE game also in WWE's Wreckless Intent CD the song quickly became a favorite for wrestling fans all over the world. He's now an essential player for "The Luis Jimenez Show" on Univision radio, Injecting consistent freshness to the show. And the improvisation of music and singing made by himself and the main show host, have pushed the show to become more inventive and affords them (on a daily basis) the opportunity to stay current with their audience’s demands. Upcoming projects by DJ CHUCKY include a DVD series on nightlife in different countries, and an internationally broadcasted radio show featuring interviews with movers and shakers of the music industry as well as exclusive mixes of his music.
